Invito all’Azione: Settimana d’Azione FARE 14 – 26 ottobre 2010 

FARE sostiene gruppi e associazioni in tutta Europa con piccoli finanziamenti
Tra il 14 e il 26 ottobre la reteCalcio Contro il Razzismo in Europa (FARE) invita all’azione negli stadi di calcio in Europa durante la Settimana d’Azione coordinata.
Con il supporto di UEFA e della Commissione Europea FARE invita tutta la famiglia calcistica europea a riunirsi ad ottobre per l’11° Settimana d’Azione FARE contro il Razzismo e la Discriminazione nel Calcio.
Oltre alle attività dei club professionisti e delle league come la UEFA Champions League e la UEFA Europa League, la Settimana d’Azione FARE offrirà a tifosi, minoranze e team calcistici in tutto il continente l’opportunità di riunirsi per celebrare il potere integrativo del calcio.
L’idea dietro alla Settimana d’Azione FARE è che un’ampia gamma di iniziative e attività si occuperanno di problemi locali all’interno del proprio club e comunità, assieme a gruppi in Europa per presentare una posizione unificata contro il razzismo e la discriminazione nel gioco.
Malgrado il progresso fatto nella lotta al razzismo e alla discriminazione nel calcio, l’esclusione delle minoranze come giocatori e tifosi rimane ancora una realtà in molti paesi europei. Ci sono inoltre continui segnali che gruppi di tifosi dell’estrema destra sono in aumento in diversi stadi in Europa, non solo negli incontri locali ma anche negli incontri internazionali a livello europeo.
Aspettiamo di conoscere le vostre idee, iniziative e attività. Ignorare il razzismo significa accettarlo – prendete posizione e partecipate alla Settimana d’Azione FARE questo ottobre!
Sostegno Finanziario
Al fine di incoraggiare una serie di eventi, FARE è in grado di offrire piccoli finanziamenti per una gamma di attività locali e regionali che avranno luogo durante la Settimana d’Azione FARE. L’ampia gamma di attività che siamo stati in grado di sostenere precedentemente include la produzione di materiali come striscioni, volantini, fanzine, poster, magliette, adesivi, la produzione di coreografie e bandiere per tifosi, l’organizzazione di eventi negli stadi e giornate per la comunità, più eventi interculturali come incontri speciali, dibattiti o tornei. Il contributo finanziario che i gruppi possono chiedere non deve superare i 400 €.
La scadenza per presentare la richiesta di finanziamento è il 23 settembre 2010.
Il Calcio per l’Uguaglianza: Sfida all’Omofobia
Precedentemente le organizzazioni partner di FARE hanno avuto successo in una richiesta all’Unione Europea sotto il Programma dei Diritti Fondamentali e di Cittadinanza. Il progetto congiunto ‘Il Calcio per l’Uguaglianza’ consente a FARE di fornire a 20 gruppi dai paesi UE un finanziamento speciale per le attività che sfidano l’omofobia nel calcio con un importo massimo di 500 €.

FARE supports grass-root groups across Europe with small grants
Between 14 and 26 October the Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) network is calling for action in around football stadiums across Europe during a co-ordinated Action Week.
With support of UEFA and the European Commission FARE calls upon the European football family to come together in October for the 11th FARE Action Week against Racism and Discrimination in Football.
Besides activities by professional clubs and leagues such as the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, the FARE Action Week will give fans, minority groups and grassroots football teams across the continent the opportunity to come together to celebrate the integrative power of the game.
The idea behind the FARE Action Week is that a wide range of initiatives and activities will address local problems within their club or community, while also joining together groups across the continent to present a unified stand against racism and discrimination in the game.
Despite the progress made in tackling racism and discrimination in the football, the exclusion of minorities as players or fans is still a reality in many European countries. There are also continuing signs that far-right supporters groups are on the rise in several stadiums across the continent, not only in league matches but also at European level in international games.

Financial Support
To encourage a variety of grassroots events, FARE is able to offer small grants for a range of local or regional activities that will take place during the FARE Action Week. The wide range of activities we have been able to support previously include the production of campaigning materials (banners, flyers, fanzines, posters, t-shirts, stickers), the production of fan choreographies and flags, as well as the organisation of stadium actions and community days, plus intercultural events such as special matches, debates or tournaments. The financial contribution groups can ask for should not exceed 400 €.
The deadline to submit small grant applications is 23 September 2010.
Football for Equality: Challenging Homophobia
Previously FARE partner organisations were successful in a bid to the European Union under the Fundamental Rights and Citizenship Programme. The joint ‘Football for Equality’ project enables FARE to provide about 20 groups from EU-countries with a special grant for activities challenging homophobia in football with a maximum amount of 500 €.
